Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Esperora is an adult self-reflection and AI guidance application operated by Sitetrail LLC (“Esperora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to the Esperora Android app, esperora.com, and the related services that link to it.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information: your email address, Google account identifier, and optional profile details when you create or connect an account.
• Reflection and profile information: answers and results from self-discovery tools, reflections, preferences, saved discoveries, and optional birth details when a feature requires or invites them.
• AI interactions: questions, prompts, responses, reports, and the compact personal context you allow Esperora to use.
• Support communications: information you include when you contact us or report an AI response.

Information collected through use

• Service and security information: an opaque account or guest identifier, session information, timestamps, basic request diagnostics, integrity or abuse-prevention signals, and error records.
• Purchase information: Google Play product, purchase token, entitlement, refund, and subscription status. We do not receive your complete payment-card details.
• Privacy-minimized analytics: a fixed set of product events, such as completing onboarding or opening a feature. These events do not include your name, internal account identifier, prompts, AI responses, assessment answers, birth details, or arbitrary text.
• Advertising and ad-service information: when advertising is enabled, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share an IP address (which can indicate general location), product interactions such as app launches, taps and video views, diagnostics, and device or account identifiers such as the advertising ID or app set ID. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention subject to your consent choices and regional requirements. Esperora does not send private reflections, prompts, assessment answers, birth details, or Guide conversations to AdMob or use them to create advertising audiences.

Information that generally stays on your device

Unfinished assessment progress, certain reflections, preferences, and local counters remain on your device unless you choose a feature that saves or sends them. Optional reminders are scheduled on your device. Esperora does not read your contacts or send messages on your behalf.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide, personalize, save, restore, and secure the service;
• answer AI requests and apply the context you authorize;
• calculate reflective results and maintain your optional Map;
• verify purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and available Insights;
• prevent duplicate claims, fraud, abuse, and technical failures;
• respond to support, privacy, deletion, and safety reports;
• understand broad product usage without attaching private content; and
• comply with legal, accounting, tax, and platform obligations.

Where applicable, we process information to perform our agreement with you, with your consent, for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, and to comply with law. You may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

4. Service providers and disclosures

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your sensitive reflection, relationship, hardship, or wellness information to create advertising audiences.

We disclose limited information to providers that help operate Esperora:

• Cloudflare provides hosting, security, encrypted transport, and service data storage.
• AI model providers may include OpenAI, Google (Gemini), xAI (Grok), and DeepSeek. When you use an AI feature, Esperora may send the relevant prompt, limited conversation history, and compact personal context you have authorized to one selected provider so it can generate a response.
• Google provides Google Sign-In, Google Play Billing and purchase verification, Android services, privacy-minimized Firebase Analytics, consent management through the User Messaging Platform, and advertising through Google AdMob. AdMob receives only the ad-service data described above, not your private reflection or Guide content.
• Device speech services may process audio when you deliberately use voice input. Availability and whether processing is on-device depend on your phone, settings, and selected language.

Esperora uses automated provider routing. The selected provider may vary between requests based on factors such as safety, language, capability, quality, availability, latency, regional restrictions, and cost. This routing selects the technology used to answer a request; it does not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you. We do not send every request to every listed provider.

Before enabling a provider for relevant users or information, we assess its privacy, security, retention, safety, contractual, and international-transfer arrangements. Depending on the selected provider, information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States or China. Where applicable law requires it, we will use an appropriate transfer mechanism before sending personal information.

We may also disclose information when required by law; to protect users, the public, or our rights; in connection with a corporate transaction; or with your direction or consent. Providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to applicable safeguards.

5. How long we keep information

• Ordinary AI conversation history is kept until you delete it or delete your account.
• Content deliberately submitted in an AI safety report is normally kept for 90 days so it can be reviewed and acted upon.
• Technical and security logs are normally kept for 30–90 days, depending on the log and the security need.
• Transaction, refund, anti-fraud, and entitlement records are kept only for the period required for accounting, tax, legal, fraud-prevention, payment, and Google Play obligations.
• Local app data remains on your device until you clear it, uninstall the app, or use the in-app deletion control.

We may keep a minimal deletion, purchase, or security record where needed to prevent replay or fraud, establish that a request was honored, or meet a legal obligation. We do not use those records to reconstruct deleted conversations or profiles.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

• Use Esperora without completing optional profile fields.
• Choose whether compact personal context is used by the AI Guide.
• Control notifications and microphone permission in Android settings.
• Delete your account and local data from the app.
• Request deletion without the app through our Delete Account page.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

7. Security

We use safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transmission, restricted administrative access, protected server credentials, separated production environments, and logged privileged actions. No service can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

8. Age requirement

Esperora is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will change the effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
